NPDC Presidential Commissioning Event
A New Chapter for Nigerian Energy.
Context
The Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) commissioned Mcafan to design and execute a presidential commissioning event for dual venues in Ologbo, Edo State: the Oredo Integrated Gas Handling Facility and the LPG Storage and Processing facilities. The event was designed under strict COVID-19 compliance protocols and broadcast live across multiple platforms.
The Challenge
Presidential events in Nigeria demand precision choreography, narrative coherence, and flawless logistics at every level. The COVID-19 protocols added an additional layer of complexity. The dual-venue format required a seamless broadcast experience that conveyed the scale and significance of the occasion to a national audience watching remotely.
Our Approach
Mcafan designed a four-act execution framework that structured the event from pre-arrival through commissioning, facility tours, and post-event broadcast. Every element of the event, from protocol sequencing to media positions to venue dressing, was mapped against the overarching narrative of Nigerian energy infrastructure coming of age.
